But, as a small business, we recognise the importance of being able to give back, which is why we are thrilled to invite you to help us ‘Save the Koalas’!
Our team loves animals, especially baby ones, which is why we are also passionate about giving back to these precious marsupials that are in decline because of bushfires, habitat destruction and road accidents.
It’s As Easy as Making A Donation
Did you know that with every order, Lil' Creatures donates $1 to the Australian Koala Foundation and our adopted furry friend, Tallara? This means you are giving back right along with us. Best of all, our website now features a nifty app that lets you round up or donate an extra $1 when you’re finishing up at the checkout.
When you adopt a koala, the contribution goes toward helping their wild cousins; your purchase goes towards helping keep these precious animals well-fed and cared for, especially in times of need (like this year’s catastrophe). When you are choosing what to buy for your little one or as a baby shower gift, our clothing makes not only the perfect gesture, but goes a long way to towards helping save these precious creatures with your donation towards Tallara and her friends out in the bush.
What is the Australian Koala Foundation?
We love bringing smiles to the face of new parents with our Lil' Creatures costumes and gift sets. What we love just as much is being able to help precious joeys by donating each month to help protect them from extinction.
These marsupials are being given the opportunity to be adopted through the foundations 'foster' program, which is where we help our adopted Tallara. It's a non-profit, non-government organisation that strives to protect these native icons’ habitats. With these threatened animals food source and habitats heavily under threat, we are proud to be symbolically giving back with our customers’ help.
What Else Can You Do to Help?
Apart from making a purchase from our collection – which contributes towards our monthly donation to the Foundation and Tallara – there is still much more you can do.
We recommend when buying one of our costumes, koala toys, swaddling cloths or personalised baby gifts that you add a $1 donation to your cart when checking out, so your total contribution is doubled at $2. That’s less than buying a takeaway coffee and can make a huge impact.
While these beautiful animals aren't yet extinct, if they aren't cared for by as many of us as possible, then the numbers will continue to dwindle. This is your chance to help save these beautiful creatures.
